Create a suppression list

To create a new suppression list: - Open the Suppression lists page (Subscribers tab > Suppression lists). - Click on the +Suppress button. - Paste a suppression list name and press Save and return.

After a suppression list is created, a user is able to edit it, import and export leads.

Add leads to the suppression list

  • Open the Suppression lists page (Subscribers tab > Suppression lists).
  • Choose a suppression list and click on the Edit button on the right.

The Add! field is used to add emails and/or domains to the suppression list.

Enter email addresses and domains you want to exclude from the mail-out and click Add!.

You can add emails and domains either one-by-one or all together.

For example:
eddie@email.ru, json@email.ru, imail.ru

Elements should be separated by comas or gaps. Domains should be added without the @ sign. For ex., imail.ru

Add subscribers to the suppression list automatically

Subscribers can be added to the suppression list automatically when unsubscribing.

For that, open the Messages page, choose a message and click on the Edit button on the right.

Click on the gear button to enter the Message settings, choose a suppression list from the Suppression list field at the bottom and tick the box Add unsubscribers to suppression list.

Import to the suppression list from a file

Open the Suppression lists page (Subscribers tab > Suppression lists) and click on the Import leads button on the right. Drop files in the Import suppression file field or click to upload.

Upload files either one-by-one or all together.

Use column box - allows to mark the needed fields for import.

When finished press Start Import to launch the import process.

emails.txt:

A user can also unite the emails.txt and the domains.txt into one file.

Suppression lists operating algorithm

Several suppression lists can be attached to one campaign. If so, the following algorithm is used to exclude subscribers from the mailing list:

1. First the Global suppression list is checked. This will determine which emails or domains should be excluded from the mailing list.

2. Then the system checks suppression lists attached to the Lists. And subscriber are excluded according to these suppression lists.

3. At last, the system checks suppression lists attached to the Messages.

Suppression list export

  • Open the Suppression lists page (Subscribers > Suppression lists).
  • Choose a suppression list.
  • Click on the Export leads button on the right.

The export data is encrypted with MD5 Hash, that meets the industry-specific standards.

Searching and deleting suppression list elements

  • - Open the Suppression lists page (Subscribers > Suppression lists).
  • Choose a suppression list.
  • Click on the Edit button on the right.

Searching:

The Check! field is used to search for certain emails in the suppression list.

A user can check emails either one-by-one or all together.

Elements should be separated by comas or gaps. Domains should be added without the @ sign. For ex., imail.ru

Emails or domains not presented in the suppression list are marked with the green minus sign. Emails or domains included in the suppression list - with the red plus sign.

Deleting:

To delete an email or a domain from the suppression list, find it via the Check! field and click on the Х sign on the right.

If a wrong email or domain was deleted from the suppression list, enter it to the Add! field and click on the Add! button.
